My family and I were looking for a quick and delicious meal on the go as we left Schlitterbahn. Darlene's showed up in my Yelp food. It was exactly what I envisioned for good seafood in Galveston. We ordered the ten piece shrimp plate, plus crab legs and seasoned fries. Shrimp - garlic Parmesan naked (no breading). - these were good, although I had to access the residual garlic Parmesan sauce in the container to amp up the flavor. Crab legs - very fresh. I also added garlic parmesan to these. Fries - seasoned, fairly good. We'll likely be back when we visit Galveston to try more shrimp flavors. Also, the Service we received was prompt and friendly. We're on vacation here in Galveston and I saw other You Tubers talking and eating at Darlene's Shrimp Shack and how good the food is. Darlene's is a food truck on I-45 and there's outdoor seating around. Service was reasonable as we didn't wait long for our food. We ordered the 10 jumbo shrimp with lemon pepper and French fries and sodas. The shrimp tasted so good. Shrimp with fries are a good combo and wash them down with a soda.
What a find! Shrimp orders are made to order, so you have to wait, but it is worth the wait. Shrimp is peeled and oh so flavorful. Hush puppies are delicious too. Gal taking the order was friendly and helpful answering questions.
